Literacy is important in the early years. The early reading skills are the building blocks to preparing our students and parents for Kindergarten.  This is one of several activities we prepare our PK students for in anticipation for Kindergarten.  A parent involvement activity. Students are read out loud with the Federal Programs Coordinator & Superintendent, Mrs. McCleary, the book "How Rocket Learned to Read" then each child is given a Dr. Seuss Book to take home with them and read with their parents over the summer.
