Dear Parents/Guardians of Kindergarten, 7th and 12th grade students.
Just a friendly reminder that the Pennsylvania Department of Health requires that students entering Kindergarten receive the State required immunizations for entry into school. This information was in your child's registration packet that was received in the spring. Proof of immunizations must be received by the 5th day of school, which is August 31, 2022.
For students at Union High School, letters were sent home in early May to parents/guardians of incoming 7th and 12th graders, who have not previously submitted verification of the required immunizations. If you are unsure if your child is up to date on their vaccines, please contact their PCP for verification.
Students entering 7th grade, must receive the TDAP vaccine and the first Meningitis Vaccine (MCV). Students entering 12th grade are required to receive the second MCV vaccine. Per Pennsylvania School Health Law, verification of immunizations must be received by the 5th day of school, which is August 31, 2022, or students risk exclusion from attending class and any extracurricular activities.
You may submit proof of vaccines to the nurse in your child's building.
