The main objectives of Education for Children and Youth Experiencing Homelessness (ECYEH) are to inform the Union School District of its educational responsibilities to students and families experiencing homelessness, to increase awareness about the needs of those experiencing homelessness, to reveal and overcome possible educational barriers, to explain current legislation and policies, and to provide practical advice to those working with students in this experience.

The mission of the Office of Student Enrollment and Placement is to plan, coordinate and implement the provisions of a system wide student registration and transfer process for grades K-12. This office serves to provide information related to student admission and transfer policies and procedures and provides ongoing support to all constituents: students, parents, school staff, administrative office staff and to the community at large.

To maintain and implement the student enrollment and transfer processes.
To provide timely information dissemination and guidance regarding the range of educational program options for students, application timelines and admission procedures.
Provide technical assistance to parents, schools on enrollment and transfer processes.
To improve communication with all student and parent stakeholders by providing informational materials in several languages.
