Rockets Wellness Check Process

 

Actions Performed by Rockets

• Monday–Wednesday: Students are expected to participate in one of our live ROC sessions.  This will count as a Wellness Check.
• Thursday: If a student has not completed the Wellness Check for the week, we send an email, call, and text message to the parent reminding them that the student must complete the Wellness Check on Thursday or Friday.
• Sunday: If the student still has not completed the Wellness Check, we send another email, call, and text message notifying the parent that the student is required to attend a mandatory Wellness Conference on Monday.
• Monday: Two different opportunities are provided for each student and their family to participate in the mandatory wellness conference.

Actions Performed by Union Staff

 

• Second Day of Student Week AM: Call parents/guardians to set up a Google Meet where Union Staff can put eyes on students
• Second Day of Student Week PM: If unable to successfully set up a meeting with the student, two district staff members will visit the student's home
  • If unable to perform a wellness check, notice of requirements will be left on the door of the residence and an offer for students/family to set up Google Meet or come into the school to satisfy the wellness check
• Wednesday: report inability to verify the welfare of the child through the Childline.  
• Wednesday: Report to Rockets on actions taken by USD
